Date:02-10-2017
PBI-Gordon Corporation announced that Avenue™ South Broadleaf Herbicide (0.7% penoxsulam + 0.7% sulfentrazone + 7.28% 2,4-D + 2.06% dicamba) for turfgrass is available for use on golf courses in American southern states. Since its launch in 2015, Avenue South has been available to the professional lawncare industry in the South for use on residential, ornamental, institutional, and other non-cropland sites.
A proprietary formula, Avenue South combines four proven active ingredients to deliver rapid control of more than 90 listed broadleaf weeds, including doveweed, Virginia buttonweed, chamberbitter and dollarweed. And Avenue South is formulated for exceptional turf safety in the South's sensitive southern grasses, including common and improved St. Augustinegrasses such as Floratam and Bitterblue.
"We introduced Avenue South just over a year ago, and the initial results were great," said Jim Goodrich, Product Manager for PBI-Gordon. "It delivers fast visual response on broadleaf weeds, and LCOs appreciate the turf safety. We're excited to offer that performance to golf course superintendents in the South."
Avenue South is ideal for golf course fairways and roughs, as well as residential and commercial areas, ornamental turf sites, recreation areas, and others as listed.
