Syngenta launches Fortenza Duo, releases "on farm" seed treatment in Brazil
Date:02-10-2017
Syngenta is coming up with a new feature for this season in Brazil, namely a seed treatment method through the use of Fortenza Duo “on farm” insecticide.
So far, the company has been directing its products in this segment for industrial treatment under the Center for Seed Treatments or Units of Seed Processing.
The company confirmed the feature during Safratec, held by Cocamar this week in the Unit of Technology Diffusion at the Municipality of Floresta, next to Maringá, Paraná.
Syngenta’s Fortenza Duo proved to be an attraction at the event, sponsored by multinational firms.
Fortenza Duo is a combination of the products Fortenza 600 FS, Cruiser 350 PS and Maxim Advanced. According to the maker, it is “the most powerful seed treatment against major plagues that threat soybean crops, corn and cotton,” and brings additional average yields equivalent to three bags (of 60 kg) per hectare in comparison with other technologies available in the market.
The Fortenza Duo solution helps control a wide spectrum of plagues. With its extended residual effect, it protects the establishment of the crop and, therefore, enables greater productive potential. “The launch of this new technology will help enhance the yield of crops that are fundamental to Brazilian agriculture, and is in line with the major commitments that we assumed as part of the Sustainable Agriculture Plan,” affirmed Murilo Fernandes, manager of Seedcare at Syngenta.
“This launch was designed to specifically meet the needs of the Brazilian agriculture and has proved its efficiency in combating major initial plagues of soybeans, corn and cotton, such as the Lesser Cornstalk Borer, Helicoverpa, the Fall Armyworm and bedbugs, among others,” concluded Murilo.
