DuPont Crop Protection has registered the fungicide Vessarya (picoxystrobin + Syngenta’s benzovindiflupyr) for the control of Asian Rust in soybeans. According to the maker, the product is an “innovative cutting-edge solution” because there is no need to use adjutants, while it shows strong performance with other diseases.
Vessarya gathers in its formulation the molecules S picoxystrobin and benzovindiflupyr, which have high selectivity and belong to the groups of strobilurins and carboxamides. DuPont underlined that the fungicide was the result of five years of research in experimental fields in Brazil.
The crop protection company reported that the product showed “exceptional performance compared with other technologies in the market.” Company officials noted that Vessarya will be sold after it obtained the state registration.
