Agrochemical company Atanor has presented a new solution to control broadleaf weeds in different crops during chemical fallow in Argentina. According to the manufacturer, Herbifen Advance is a new post-emergent selective herbicide which "combines all the control power of Herbifen Super with lower volatility.”
Herbifen Advance comes as an alternative to control the growing problem of weeds, mostly those resistant to herbicide glyphosate. According to Atanor, Herbifen shows rapid power action in just a single application.
"It is a new component 2-ethyl-hexyl that reduces the steam pressure, obtaining a volatility 200 times lesser than butyl ester. It is compatible with all types of glyphosates and other herbicides and not affected by water quality too,” the manufacturer pointed out.
Due to this low volatility, the product reduces the risk of application in peri-urban areas and susceptible neighboring crops. Atanor highlights that Herbifen Advance is not included in the formulations-based butyl esters that are currently restricted in Argentina.
