The Climate Corporation has chosen Lecorpio Intellectual Property Management to transform its patent, invention disclosure and spend management.
Christopher Grewe, Associate General Counsel at Climate, led the selection process that ultimately chose Lecorpio. “We needed a powerful, holistic IP management system to transform our patent workflow into a more efficient, scalable solution, one that reflected our company’s focus on using data to help farmers make more informed management decisions,” said Grewe. “Lecorpio provided a streamlined and convenient solution to capture innovation. Our key stakeholders will now be able to track how our inventions are progressing through the patent process, from idea to invention to patent filing. Lecorpio will also provide our legal department and senior management transparent, real-time access to patent-related information to help us drive our IP strategy forward.”
Grewe explained there was a clear synergy between Climate and Lecorpio given both companies’ efforts to maximize the value of utilizing data analytics to help their customers make informed decisions using simple solutions. Climate aims to help all the world's farmers sustainably increase their productivity through the use of digital tools, offering one easy-to-use digital platform to help them optimize resources and maximize crop yield by delivering customized, field-level insights throughout the growing season. Lecorpio has a similar philosophy, recognizing the importance of measurement and data analytics to drive decision-making. “We invested in Lecorpio because we anticipate that deploying their system will pay valuable dividends in the future,” said Grewe.
Jay Madsen, CEO of Lecorpio, stated, “The Climate Corporation is a proven innovator in the field of digital agriculture. Lecorpio Intellectual Property Management is ideally suited to help them automate their invention and patent process to build efficiency and control costs. Our two companies have similar perspectives on the importance of analytics and data-driven decisions and we look forward to successfully implementing Lecorpio for Climate.”
