Sharda CropChem anticipates 15-20% growth this year
Date:10-11-2016
In a conversation with ET Now, RBV Bubna, MD, Sharda CropChem talks about their revenue growth and the driving factors.
ET Now: Analysts are pencilling in your revenue growth to be around 15-20%, some are optimistic of a 20% plus growth as well. Are you reworking your internal targets to 20% and higher?
RBV Bubna: Fourth quarter is our main quarter. Our business is very seasonal, so we will see what happens in Q4. It normally contributes for about 40-45% of our total revenue and so far I would say that we should go between 15-20%.
ET Now: In case of bumper crop production, do you think the demand for your products could also see a linear uptick?
RBV Bubna: Our business is mainly concentrated outside India. Our revenues from operations within India contribute to about 3% of our total revenues so the bumper crop here would add very little portion to our revenues.
ET Now: Looking at how things are placed right now how do you anticipate the year to be?
RBV Bubna: We anticipate the growth to be about 15-20%.
ET Now: Europe is going through a serious slowdown, the farm industry is also not growing. So when you say you are confident of growth, what is instilling it?
RBV Bubna: We do not feel this slow down on the ground level. Our customers are very optimistic and we have been receiving enquiries and demands which are very normal or a little better than normal.
ET Now: So are you still pencilling in pricing and margin pressure in Mexico which had led to double digit volume drop?
RBV Bubna : In Mexico, also, we are doing fairly well. Our margins have improved in the last one or two quarters.
ET Now: A lot of people are looking for the launch pipeline. What are you estimates and how would these grow?
RBV Bubna: We have already had about 1,700 registrations and about 800 are in the pipeline. Last year, we bagged more than 250 registrations. So these new registrations are driving our business and we hope to continue that. We are also looking forward to some good molecules to be registered. These are the processes which will drive our business.
