DLF takes over Jensen Seeds A/S

DLF takes over the remaining 50 percent shares with effect from the current financial year 2016/17.
In 2012, DLF acquired 50% of the shares in Jensen Seeds A/S. Jensen Seeds A/S will continue as company with own profile and management.
The acquisition is part of a succession plan. Henning van Veldhuizen, who has been in lead of the company for the last 30 years and been the CEO for 25 years, will at the end of the year, leave the daily management of the company.

Jensen Seeds is a very reputable, well-run and professional company with a nice sales growth, and we are happy to include Jensen Seeds in the DLF family,” says Truels Damsgaard, CEO of DLF.
Henning van Veldhuizen will continue as board member in Jensen Seeds A/S and be associated to DLF as Business Development Advisor, where he among other things will investigate the possibilities for extending and internationalizing DLFs production platform for vegetable seeds.
By January 1, 2017, the CEO of Jensen Seeds A/S will be Ann Laura Luunbjerg. She has been Customer Service Manager at Jensen Seeds A/S the last four years. She has a profound knowledge of the business, the growers and the customers.
Ann Laura an agronomist. Before she joined Jensen Seeds A/S, she was teaching seed production and seed biology to young farmers students at the Agriculture College in Odense. Many of the farmers she has educated are today growing seeds for Jensen Seeds A/S.
Jensen Seeds A/S has 24 employees, and the company is a global frontrunner when it comes to producing hybrid spinach seeds, which represent 80 percent of the company’s production.
