The agrochemical companies Chemotécnica and FMC based in Argentina, have recently inaugurated two new facilities to produce locally herbicides, fungicides and insecticides.
The capital investment was $ 60 million. The plants will produce up to 800,000 liters of concentrated suspensions for crop protection products. They have a total area of 1,600 square meters.
Herbicides production plant has an area of 1,000 square meters. There will be manufactured the largest volume of an herbicide used to control resistant weeds in order to offer farmers crop inputs at lower prices.
Insecticides production plant has 600 square meters and it will produce mixtures of different active ingredients for maximum effectiveness in controlling a wide range of insects. Companies reported that part of their production will be exported to Latin American countries.
Chemotécnica was founded in 1943 in Argentina. It is dedicated to the chemical synthesis of active ingredients for crop and animal health as well as the formulation of insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and antiparasitic products.
