An international conference was held by Laiwo Technology Company, the Reifenhauser Group and six other enterprises in the Urumqi State High-tech Zone on June 22 to discuss how to develop modern agricultural innovation.
Over 200 leading agriculture companies from more than 20 countries attended the meeting to seek more cooperation opportunities and share cutting edge agricultural concepts and experience.
Laiwo Technology Company is a technology-intensive and energy-saving high-tech enterprise established in Urumqi’s high-tech zone in 2012. It has invested 1 billion yuan ($15.2 million) in the zone’s “macromolecule new material industrial park”.
Tian Yan, deputy secretary general of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA), said Laiwo Technology Company, as a dark horse in the agricultural film and packaging film industry, injects fresh energy into the agricultural industry as a whole.
The macromolecule industrial park has introduced a high-end farm-oriented macromolecule materials production line from Europe which will finish its trial operation this month. It will go into operation with an expected annual production value of 2 billion yuan ($30.4 million).
Zhang Yuzhong, deputy director of the CIPA, said the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) is a critical time when Chinese traditional agriculture is modernizing. The process requires enhanced science and technology innovation.
After the opening ceremony, seven experts and leaders in the agricultural industry made speeches on topics such as the application of multilayer technology in molding film production and the Chinese market demand for farm oriented film.
