Date:06-15-2016
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has granted full registration for the sale and use of 4-aminopyridine and three restricted class end-use products(Avitrol Corn Chops,Avitrol Whole Corn and Avitrol Mixed Grains), following a re-evaluation of the active ingredient.
An evaluation of available scientific information found that products containing 4-aminopyridine do not present unacceptable risks to human health or the environment when used according to the conditions of registration, which include amended label directions.
4-Aminopyridine is a repellent used for the control of feral pigeons, sparrows, and certain blackbirds and cowbirds, in, on, or in the area of structures, nesting and roosting sites. The products are registered as restricted class and are for use by, or under the supervision of, government agencies and pest control operators only.
