Date:06-09-2016
Industrial biotechnology firm Protéus, a member of PCAS Group, has announced a new collaboration with Syngenta Crop Protection, LLC to optimize the properties of an enzyme, using Protéus proprietary directed evolution tools.
Since 2008, Syngenta and Protéus have entered into different research and development agreements that have led to significant improvements in enzyme performance.
The patented technologies used, named L-ShufflingTM and EvosightTM, have a long track record of enzymes optimization in terms of specific activities and/or processes stabilities and/or substrates specificities.
With these powerful tools, enzyme engineering enables cost effective industrial applications of biotechnologies, in many fields of Life Science, such as Health, Fine & Speciality Chemistry, Environment and Bioenergy.
