J.R. Simplot appoints new Vice President for Wholesale Agriculture Sales

Doug Stone will be joining the J. R. Simplot Company as vice president, Wholesale Agricultural Sales within the Simplot AgriBusiness Division effective June 7.
Stone will be directly responsible for leading the sales and strategy of Wholesale Ag while collaborating with other segments within AgriBusiness and the J.R. Simplot Company to deliver on our commitment to effectively meet its customers' needs.
As an important part of his responsibilities, Stone is charged with optimizing and growing the wholesale business in a profitable and sustainable manner while working with Simplot's leadership to develop new strategies and opportunities for the entire AgriBusiness group.
"Doug brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and expertise in the Wholesale, Retail, and global arenas and we are excited he is joining our team at Simplot," said Garrett Lofto, president, Simplot AgriBusiness.
Most recently, Stone held the position of president and CEO for Consolidated Sourcing Solutions (CSS) where he was responsible for the creation and execution of a crop nutrient sourcing strategy for the seventh largest retail consortium in the United States. Prior to CSS, Stone held various executive level positions at Terra Industries Inc. including senior vice president, sales and marketing and vice president corporate development and strategic planning.
In a newly created role, Mark Auchampach will be the senior director, supply systems where he will provide strategic oversight of the wholesale division's S&OP, logistics, and distribution systems across North America including import facilities.
"Mark's extensive knowledge of our manufacturing and distribution system along with our customer base is an advantage that will bridge our supply locations with wholesale customers in the most efficient and effective manner," said Lofto. "This is a challenging position and I am confident Mark will unlock opportunities that allow us to grow our business with existing and new customers over a wider geography."
