Date:04-06-2016
Arysta LifeScience North America recently announced it received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of RANCONA® V PD(ipconazole+ carboxin + metalaxyl), a broad-spectrum fungicide dust formulation seed treatment for use on peanuts.
RANCONA V PD joins the peanut family of products from Arysta LifeScience, including DIMILIN® 2L Insecticide, EVITO® Fungicide and COMITE® II Miticide. The new seed treatment features three active ingredients – ipconazole, carboxin and metalaxyl – to offer a strong line of defense for peanut growers against harmful diseases.
RANCONA V PD provides both contact and systemic activity, which leads to broad-spectrum control of key peanut diseases including seed rots caused by Penicillium and Aspergillus flavus, as well as damping-off and seedling blight caused by Rhizoctonia, Fusarium and Pythium. It also may be used for partial control of early-season Aspergillus crown rot, Sclerotium rolfsii white mold/stem rot and Cylindrocladium parasiticum black rot.
"The easy-to-use dust formulation makes RANCONA V PD a smart choice for peanut growers fighting a myriad of diseases in their crops," said Chris Wooley, Marketing Manager — Seed Treatment, Arysta LifeScience. "Arysta LifeScience currently is working with peanut-producing states to obtain state registrations for RANCONA V PD, so we will have product in growers' hands very soon."
