Andermatt Biocontrol's Verpavex® obtained approval in Brazil

Verpavex®, a
Helicoverpa armigera nucleopolyhedrovirus (HearNPV), manufactured by Andermatt Biocontrol, obtained approval in Brazil in February 2016.
MAPA granted registration of Verpavex to control African cotton bollworm (
Helicoverpa armigera) on a broad range of different crops, including soybeans,beans, tomato, rice, cotton, peanut, corn, potato and other crops, where Helicoverpa armigera is present.
The approval is limited for agricultural use. Its own subsidiary, Andermatt do Brazil, located in Curitiba, will distribute the product throughout whole Brasil.
Verpavex provides excellent control of Helicoverpa armigera, leaves zero residues and is absolutely harmless to non-target organisms. Verpavex has already obtained approval in Australia, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Spain,Greece, Italy, Namibia, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine and USA. There are additional approvals in several different countries pending.
