Sipcam, Bayer CropScience sign chlorothalonil distribution agreement
Date:01-18-2016
On 8th January 2016, Sipcam Agro (Wuxi) and Bayer CropScience (China) signed a general distribution agreement in Beijing for Vestire 720g/L chlorothalonil. This agreement signifies a further cooperation between the 2 parties, following the joint release of Saidi in May 2015.
Chlorothalonil is a broad spectrum protective fungicide with a wide field of applications. Of note, no resistance has yet occurred. The Vestire 720SC released by Sipcam is an upgraded, high-performance version. Compared with conventional wettable powder, Vestire is highly efficient, environmentally friendly, more economical and complies with the objective of China’s zero-pesticide-use growth program. Vestire is an exclusive chlorothalonil registered in China for applications on lawn and banana crops, which will be complementary to the protective fungicide range of Bayer CropScience.
Regarding the upgraded product, Geng Pingtian, general manager of Sipcam Agro (Wuxi) said, “Sipcam has a long tradition and special advantages in cooperating with multinationals world-wide. Since we began our presence in the Chinese market, we have been working closely with multinationals to introduce products to expand our product line and enhance our competitive edge in support of our sustainable development”.
