Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) will start to respond to the public charge made by the Agriculture minister, Kátia Abreu, who demanded more transparency, exemption and quickness. This week, the agency announced that it would provide an online system with the list of agrochemicals waiting for registration analysis.
So far, this information was not distributed on PDF format. Now, all the control will done through the Datavisa system and will be accessed at any moment at the link http://www.anvisa.gov.br/listadepeticoes/index.asp.
"As part of the changes that Anvisa have implemented with the aim to improve its work procedures and services provided, from today the lines of analysis of the General Management of Toxicology will not be published anymore in PDF or similar format. It is important to highlight that the analysis will be done according to the chronological order of protocols,” promises the agency.
However, Anvisa guarantees that “the types of procedures that have legal provision to be prioritized and that due to the phytosanitary emergency, or other technical justification, receive priority treatment by the registering agency, will undergo a special treatment by this agency, but yet will follow the chronological order”.
