Limin Chemical investing considerably in pesticide projects including azoxystrobin
Date:11-02-2015
Limin Chemical has recently raised large amount of funds for product and industry chain expansions. The funds so raised have totaled to over Yuan 700 million, to be spent on 4 high-efficient pesticide projects and 2 basic material projects.
The 4 pesticide projects include the annual 5000-ton propineb, the annual 20,000-ton metam-sodium, the annual 500-ton difenoconazole and the annual 500-ton azoxystrobin projects.
Propineb, metam-sodium and difenoconazole are the leading products of Limin for long years. On the other side, the patent-protected azoxystrobin became off patent in 2010. It is now the high time for Limin to expand its business scale, therefore the above projects will enable Limin to enrich its product portfolio and form a new source of growth. Limin Chemical expects to achieve an annual sales income of Yuan 449 million in the first year after running these projects at designed capacity.
The 2 basic material projects are propylene diamine and ethidene diamine, which are both the main raw materials for Limin’s 2 leading products – propineb and mancozeb. The production of propylene diamine and ethidene diamine is currently mastered by BASF. After the projects are brought on stream, these 2 products will grow toward upstream of the industry chain. Limin Chemical expects to achieve an annual sales income of Yuan 308 million in the first year after running these projects at designed capacity.
Limin Chemical is one of China’s largest agricultural fungicide manufacturers, which mainly produces mancozeb, chlorothalonil, propineb, pyrimethanil, fosetyl-aluminum and difenoconazole with sales covering more than 70 countries and regions all over the world.
