Date:09-30-2015
Plant Health Care (PHC), a leading provider of novel patent-protected biological products to global agriculture markets, recently announced that it has signed its third and fourth agreements with major industry players in the agricultural space regarding the evaluation of its Innatus™ 3G peptide platform.
This technology platform enables the design, production and screening of a large pipeline of peptides with diverse biological properties. The peptides can be used for both seed treatment and foliar applications. They can also be combined with conventional crop protection chemicals, making them highly complementary to existing production practices.
To enhance and accelerate the Company's unique capabilities in the field of PREtec science (Plant Response Elicitor technology), the Company has moved its Seattle-based research facility to a significantly larger installation, expanding its footprint to over four times its previous size. Furthermore, Plant Health Care has made two notable additions to its staff.
Paul Schmidt, CEO of Plant Health Care, commented, "Our continuing success in signing up major industry players to evaluate our Innatus 3G platform is a strong validation of the potential benefit our customers believe this technology can bring to the agricultural market. As we move forward with these evaluation agreements, we are continuing to build the development capability and expertise to support the expansion and eventual commercialization of this technology. The combination of expanding our R&D capabilities and adding key personnel like Dr. Kopcinski and Dr. Li to the team bolsters our position as a leading player in this market sector."
