Date:08-12-2015
KoSSIL opened its new research facilities at IDA Bollaram near Hyderabad, India at the beginning of August, aiming to align itself with Koppert’s mission ‘Partnership with Nature’ and develop new biological products with local R&D experts.
KoSSIL is the joint venture company of Koppert B.V. with joint shareholding of Koppert Biological Systems India (Private) Limited and the Devanur family.
Within the new research centre new products will be manufactured, including biostimulants, natural botanical products and microbials for pest and disease management for both local and international markets.
The opening ceremony was performed traditionally with a religious ‘Pooja’ ritual. Henri Oosthoek, Koppert’s Managing Director, lit the ceremonial lamp and officially opened the premises. Thanking the team for their efforts, he said: ‘I look forward to the development of more products of international standards’. He presented a gift, a symbolic image of two birds depicting both companies, to reflect the shared goals for business development and success.
Udayanarayana Bhat and Gargi Lyengar will be supported by Harald Mikkelsen from Koppert B.V. and locally by Dr Venkatesh Devanur.
