Sipcam agchem sales up 1% in 2014

Italian company Sipcam-Oxon’s agrochemical sales increased by 1.1% to €381.3 million ($430.5 million at the current rate) in 2014. Sales of chemical intermediates largely declined by 63.7% to €6.6 million ($7.5 million), while fertilizer sales siganificantly improved by 179.4% to €28.5 million ($32.2 million). The total sales were up by 2.7% to €416.4 million Y-O-Y.
Herbicide is the largest category, with sales increasing by 8.8% to €151.6 million ($171.5 million). Fungicide sales grew by 2.8% to €139.3million ($157.6 million), while insecticide sales were up by 5.9% to €90.2 million ($102 million).
In terms of region, Europe remained the largest business region, with sales reaching €228.5 million ($258 million), accounted for 57.7% of the total, followed by South America, North America, and rest of the world, with respective sales of €77.3 million ($87.3 million), €77 million ($86.9 million), and €27 million ($30.5 million).
