Date:03-17-2015
Nufarm recently announced that Brendan Deck has been asked to move into the role of Regional General Manager, Nufarm North America. Brendan has accepted this challenge subject to the relevant visa approvals.
Deck replaces Darryl Matthews, who had held the position since 2010. “In his 15 years with the company, Darryl made significant contributions and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” says Greg Hunt, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nufarm, Ltd.
“The North American marketplace is extremely important to Nufarm, and we are confident that Brendan will provide the innovative, strong leadership we need to bring more and better solutions to North American crop producers,” Hunt continues.
Deck most recently headed up Nufarm’s Crop Care business in Australia. He has deep and broad management experience and brings a customer focus to the business. “I’m excited by the challenge of heading up Nufarm’s North American operations,” he says. “We have an exciting portfolio of innovative products and a strong, capable team to bring them to market. Focusing on the customer and our relationship with them will be a key focus for us moving forward,” he says.
“We want to be a company that is easy to do business with – a company that brings effective, relevant solutions to our customers. I'm looking forward to meeting our customers and partners to discuss ways in which we can contribute to their ongoing success."
Deck will be transitioning into his new role and will begin interacting with the North American team as he works to complete all requirements related to his relocation to the Chicago area from his current home in Brisbane, Australia.
