China's agchem market to be stable in 2015
Date:01-20-2015
According to the Chinese Ministry of agriculture (MOA), China’s agchem market is generally stable. Influenced by the adjustment of planting structure and promotion of the agchem use with high efficiency, it is forecast that the consumption volume in 2015 will be the same as in 2014, but with a rapid growth in seed treatment products. The development opportunity for spraying machinery with high efficiency is also expected.
The market performance in 2014 showed several traits, including shrinking market for insecticides, stable price for fungicides, lower application volume for herbicides, and significantly higher application volume for PGR. It is forecasted that in 2015, there is increased need for insecticides and acaricides, decreased need for fungicides and PGR, stable need for herbicides, and slightly drop in need for rodenticides.
The highlights for the latest CAMMR (published in January, 2015) are as follows:
• China's fungicide production up by 12% in November 2014
• China's 11-month agchem import & export both up in 2014
• A total of 185 pesticides registered in December 2014
• Price trends of major agchem products
