US EPA to ok Sumitomo’s insecticide momfluorothrin

The US EPA has proposed the registration of Sumitomo’s insecticide momfluorothrin, formulated as four manufacturing-use products and five end-use products. Belonging to synthetic pyrethroid class, momfluorothrin has broad spectrum and is effective against flying, crawling, and stinging insects and other arthropod pests. The proposed uses include indoor, outdoor spot and crack-and-crevice treatments in residential and commercial settings. Momfluorothrin, together with its three manufacturing concentrates and four end-use products have been approved in Canada in December 2014. The US EPA is inviting public comment until January 18th 2015.
