Syngenta introduces rodenticide TalonĀ® Ultrablo
Date:11-05-2014
Syngenta Professional Pest Management (PPM) is unveiling new Talon® Ultrablok rodenticide to demonstrate its continued commitment to advanced rodent control. Formulated with the latest technology in rodent palatability, Talon Ultrablok can provide Pest Management Professionals (PMPs) with a tool to effectively control rodents and combat resistance.
“The new Talon Ultrablok formula is based on innovations in food science,” explained ElRay Roper, senior technical representative for Syngenta PPM in North America. “This formula ensures maximum attractiveness and palatability to rodents.”
Talon Ultrablok contains brodifacoum, as well as unique ingredients that have been shown to improve acceptance of the bait, making Talon Ultrablok the most attractive brodifacoum block on the market. Rodents are only required to eat a small dosage of the active ingredient, which helps control rodents in a single feeding, including warfarin-resistant rodents.
Talon Ultrablok also features innovative packaging that was specifically designed to be convenient for PMPs. It is available in an easy-to-carry 16 lb. case with side and top handles, which contains two fully labeled 8 lb. bags of product. Each 8 lb. bag is dual-walled and can be resealed, providing long-lasting bait freshness. Each bag can also be placed individually in service vehicles for added convenience.
Syngenta was the first manufacturer to bring a rodenticide to market that contained brodifacoum, which is the only active ingredient that has no documented cases of rodent resistance. With existing solutions such as Talon-G and Weatherblok® XT rodenticide, Syngenta is further enhancing its rodent control portfolio with the introduction of Talon Ultrablok.
“We understand PMPs need rodent control they can rely on, for their businesses and customers,” said John Dombrosky, head of marketing for Syngenta PPM, Americas. “PMPs can be confident that the advanced formulation of Talon Ultrablok will get the job right the first time and help them provide a rodent-free environment for their customers.”
