BASF registers Heat LQ herbicide in Western Canada
Date:10-16-2014
Western Canadian growers now have a new and improved solution for pre-seed and pre-harvest use. BASF announced that it has received registration from the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) for Heat® LQ herbicide for the 2015 season.
Heat LQ delivers the fast, complete weed control of Heat in a new convenient liquid formulation for faster fill-up times and improved tank clean-out. Heat LQ is a unique Group 14 chemistry that uses the active ingredient Kixor® to help growers improve their glyphosate burndown in the spring and improve their harvest in the fall. It provides improved control of tough weeds like dandelion, volunteer canola, cleavers and kochia, including both Group 2- and glyphosate-resistant weed biotypes.
“BASF knows that growers prefer a liquid formulation and Heat LQ is the latest example of BASF’s commitment to providing growers with the solutions they need to produce the best crop possible,” said Danielle Eastman, Western Herbicide Brand Manager at BASF Canada. “Heat LQ gives growers the same fast control on tough weeds in a new, easy-to-use liquid formulation even under cold temperatures in a pre-emerge situation.”
Heat LQ will also be conveniently pre-packaged with Merge® adjuvant for easier handling and improved ease of use.
