Monsanto to invest $120 million in Argentina

The minister of Industry, Débora Giorgi, received Monsanto´s executives, who informed her about an investment plan for the next three years in Argentina, for a total of $120 million. With this plan, Monsanto seeks to increase technological development in its local production.
The company expects to finish this year with a positive trade balance, for an amount of US$ 90 million due to the sale of services and biotechnological development to other countries. Besides, in the last four years, Monsanto has carried out an active plan to increase its national providers and replace imports, which has also resulted in the growth of the company´s trade balance.
