Australasia oks Dow’s Enlist cotton

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has approved food derived from Dow AgroSciences’ herbicide-tolerant Enlist cotton (DAS 81910-7), which is genetically modified to provide resistance to 2,4-D and glufosinate-ammonium. The company expects to launch Enlist cotton in US in 2016, and has applied for the approval in US in early March of 2014. The other countries it seeks for approval include Canada and Japan.
