AgVenture, Inc. (AVI) has welcomed a new seed company to their nationwide network of independently owned and operated regional seed companies. Northwest Iowa Ag, LLC, of Moville, Iowa will provide AgVenture® brand corn, soybean and alfalfa seed products to farmers across the area, along with year-round professional seed support services.
Northwest Iowa Ag President, Larry Janssen said, "We are proud to join AgVenture’s distinguished network of independent seed companies. We provide customers with access to a deep product portfolio of the latest and seed genetic and technology combinations in the industry. With AVI’s support, we are building a strong team of dedicated, highly-trained seed professionals to work one-on-one with our customers throughout the year. We are confident in these seed products and the strategies and tactics that will help our customers reach new goals in yield and profitability on every acre."
Five family members have joined together to establish the new business. Partners, in addition to Janssen, include Will Wollesen, Casey Willer, Gary Janssen and Dillon Janssen. The family has been farming in the area since 1982. Janssen said, "We have had great success with our AgVenture products and seed support. As our younger family members joined our farming operation in the past five years, we saw this as a great opportunity to extend the advantages to others in the area."
AVI was founded in 1983 and provides its Regional Seed Companies with access seed sourced from multiple platforms, tested and proven to perform in local soils and agronomic environments. In addition, through AgVenture’s alliance with PROaccessSM, growers can access both some new and some familiar product choices.
Janssen explained, "Our Maximum Profit System™ is an innovative, systems-based approach to dramatically increasing yields, lowering cost per bushel and improving overall farm profitability. It brings together the best and latest converging technologies including seed genetics and traits, accuracy in seed placement, and year round support to help manage and sustain advancements. Additional programs such as AgVenture’s ProfiZone™ program allow us to optimize our recommendations to growers. It helps provide a specific understanding of seed, nutrient, environmental and management practices. Better input management can provide huge advantages in yield and profit."
