Nissan agrochem sales up 25% in Q1 2015

Nissan agrochemicals sales increased by 24.6% to ¥12,335 million ($120 million at the current rate) in the three months ended June 30th 2014, according to Nissan’s consolidated financial report. Operating income rose by 75.2% to ¥3,981 million ($39 million). On a non-consolidated basis, agrochemical sales increased by 16%, with glyphosate sales up 38%. Non-consolidated sales grew by 9% if excluding glyphosate.

The company forecasts the sales of the first half to be ¥17,600 million ($172 million), and full year sales to reach ¥43,900 million ($428 million). The operating income is expected to be ¥3,300 million ($32 million) for the first half, and ¥8,000 million ($78 million) for the full year.
