DuPont launches Dermacor in Brazil to control caterpillar

DuPont has launched Dermacor® (chlorantraniliprole) in the Brazilian market to control caterpillar Helicoverpa armigera on cotton or soybeans. This seed treatment product obtained emergency registration and is already available to in the 2014/15 season.
The marketing director of DuPont, Marcelo Okamura, explains that "the protection of Dermacor® goes beyond the seed, generating an ideal stand of the crop, resulting in a maximum genetic expression and the better yields".
Dermacor® was already launched in many countries, such as the United States, Argentina, and Mexico. The company also intends to expand its technologies for corn in the 2015/16 season.
Besides combating the attacks of the caterpillar Helicoverpa armigera, the agrochemical also acts against fall armyworm, dark sword-grass, tobacco budworm, soybean lopper and velvetbean caterpillar (Anticarsia gemmatalis).
