APVMA continus suspension of fungicide quintozene

The APVMA has decided to extend the suspension of the active constituent approvals for quintozene and the product registrations and label approvals of products containing quintozene listed in Table 1. The approval holder is Amvac Chemicals Corporation.
The active constituent approval suspension is in effect from 14 July 2014 until 14 February 2015, as well as for the product and label suspension.
Due to the presence of undeclared dioxin impurities at levels that might pose risk to applicators, APVMA suspended quintozene in April 2010 for one year, followed by another 3 times suspension.
