Indian agrochemical firm introduces new miticide in Punjab

Crystal Phosphates Ltd, part of Rs 525-crore Crystal group, which is among India’s top five agro-chemical companies, has announced its plans for agricultural belt in Punjab. Crystal will adopt around 150-200 fields in Punjab to help farmers in maximizing the yield through constant trials and demonstration by the company. The company has initiated a special training programme to educate the farmers in Punjab.

Taking another step in the same direction, Crystal Phosphates Ltd has also introduced a new miticide, Abacin, in Punjab. Abacin, which the company claims is a revolutionary product and controls a wide variety of mites. Abacin is also effective to those insects which have developed resistance to organo phosphates, organo chlorine and syntheticpyrethroids. Abacin provides long-term crop protection and kills harmful insects.

While launching the Abacin in Punjab, N K Aggarwal, Chairman, Crystal Phosphates Ltd, revealed, “Crystal and farmers work on a common mission: to increase productivity. Our efforts will definitely help farmers increase the yield and keep them motivated about their main occupation - agriculture.”
