EU to change rapporteur for dimethomorph renewal
Date:06-16-2014
The European Commission has proposed to change the rapporteur Member State for the renewal procedure of fungicide dimethomorph, which has been supported by the EU Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health. A change from Poland to the Netherlands was proposed by EU after considering the responsibilities and work between Member States. In July 2012, Commission Implementing Regulation (No 686/2012) allocates a rapporteur and a co-rapporteur for the purpose of the renewal procedure of the ai whose approval expires by 2018. Dimethomorph was re-registered in 2007 by BASF and is among 150 active ingredients in the third ai renewal project. The amendment shall enter into force after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
