China grants BioWorks' trichoderma harzianum technical

American company BioWorks’ trichoderma harzianum technical (30 billion CFU / g) and its end use product
trichoderma harzianum WP (300 million CFU / g) has been approved for registration from Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA). As per
Chinese registration watch, BioWorks is the the first and only company approved for
trichoderma harzianum technical and product in China.
Trichoderma harzianum is a mitosporic fungi widely exist in nature. The
trichoderma harzianum strain T-22 acts as pesticide active ingredients to control a range of soil and foliar pathogens. The fungi could secrets substances like enzymes and antibiotics to dissolve the cell wall of pathogens and form a “shield” around the roots to protect the invasion of root pathogens.
Trichoderma harzianum strain T-22 can be used to prevent multiple plant diseases caused by
pythium, rhizoctonia solani, fusarium, rhizopus nigricans, cylindrocladium scoparium, sclerotinia sclerotiorum, and
sclerotium rolfsli etc.
