Brazil rules for buying and transporting agrochemicals

The National Association of Plant Protection (Andef) of Brazil announced the rules for buying and transporting agrochemicals.
For buying pesticides, don’t accept damaged packages and make sure that the products are within the expiry date at the time of purchase. When it comes to handling the pesticide, use the personal protective equipment (PPE). After the purchase, a receipt is required, which must be kept, and you must ensure that it indicates where to return the packaging after use.
For transporting pesticides, you must follow the rules in accordance legislation otherwise, fines can be applied. Follow the recommendation of the National Association of Plant Defense (Andef):
1. The vehicle must be in perfect condition (tires, brakes, lights, bumpers, fire extinguishers)
2. Never carry damaged or leaking packages, even though small
3. Transportation of pesticides is prohibited inside the cabin of the vehicle and also areas that are transporting people, animals, food, feed or medication
4. The transport must always be made with the invoice
5. When the product is classified as dangerous, the buyer will receive an emergency card with a red stripe. In this case, a receipt must have information such as UN, code name for boarding, risk components, class and subclass, subsidiary risk (if it exists), in addition to the packing group.
