Brazil agricultural machinery sales grew 18% in 2013

Brazilian agricultural machines sold recorded a 18.4% increase to 83,078 units in the domestic market in 2013 versus the previous year, according to the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (Anfavea).

In 2013,the total production of agricultural machinery increased 20% up to 100,451 units compared  to 2012. In December 2013, there were 6,534 units manufactured, 13% higher than the same month last year, but 20% lower than November, 2013.

Agricultural export sales saw an increase of 23.2% to US$ 3.553 billion in 2013. Exports had no drop and added up to US$ 259.475 million in December 2013 - an increase of 5.1% compared to November and 61.5% over the same month of 2012. Only in agricultural machinery there were 15,619 units exported in 2013.
