Syngenta Canada launches new trial results tool to help growers with seed decisions
Date:12-06-2013
Syngenta Canada recently announced the launch of Syngenta Trial Results, an interactive online tool that provides Syngenta field evaluation trial information from across Western Canada to growers and retailers. The easy-to-use, searchable web tool is designed to make canola seed variety selection easier and more convenient by providing locally relevant performance data.
"Syngenta is committed to supporting Canadian canola growers, not only with high-performing seed, seed care and crop protection products, but also with other innovative solutions," said Mitch Reid, Campaign Lead, Syngenta Canada. "The Syngenta Trial Results tool puts key decision-making considerations at growers’ fingertips, providing useful information on varieties, yield results from nearby trials, agronomic characteristics and crop protection options."
With this web tool, growers and retailers have access to yield data gathered from 2013 Syngenta field evaluation trials. Retailers can also refer to the trial results to talk to growers about which Syngenta variety has the best fit for their farm. The new Syngenta Trial Results web tool can be accessed through the SyngentaFarm.ca website. Users can locate trial data by selecting the variety in which they are interested. The tool then:
• Maps out trials located near the user’s specified location
• Provides, where available, more detailed agronomic information about each trial, such as maturity rating, emergence and standability compared to other varieties
• Offers an overview of how a particular variety performed in a specific growing region
Additionally, Syngenta crop protection information can be found at the bottom of each page, providing access to the most current resources to help make well-informed crop planning decisions.
