China's agchem production flat in Sep 2013

China's pesticide production slightly went down by 0.58% to 233,435 tons in Sep 2013 comparing to the same period of last year. For the first nine months of 2013,pesticide production amounted 2,357,413 tons according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS).

In Sep, China’s herbicide production increased by 1.22% to 116,220 tons, accounting for the majority of 49.8% of the total chemical pesticide production. Insecticide was merely up by 0.69% at 59,645 tons, made up of 25.6% of the total production volume. Fungicide production rose by 5.83% to 13,321 tons, representing the 5.7% of total volume.

Shandong went back to be the top production province with production volume of 57,555 tons. Jiangsu produced 54,871 tons and Henan 22,967 tons.
