China's agchem production up 9.7% in June 2013

China's agrochemical production rose by 9.7% to 304, 425 tons in June 2013 versus the same period of last year, and the volume of agrochemicals in the first half year of 2013 reached 1,634,993 tons, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS).

Herbicides were the largest product category, contributing 55.8% of agrochemicals volume and increasing 10.6% to 169,805 tons compared with the previous year. Insecticides accounting for 24% of agrochemicasl volume, which rose by 2.2% to 73, 201 tons. Fungicide volume increased by 22.94% to 18,543 tons, which made up 6.0% of agrochemicals volume.

Shandong,Jiangsu, Hubei rank Top 3 provinces in production term. Volume of Shandong in June is 81,438 tons, followed by Jiangsu with 65,577 tonnes and Hubei with 27,933 tons.
