China's agrochemical production rose by 6.2% in May of 2013 over the same period of last year with volumes of 299,735 tonnes. Total volumes in the first five months reached 1,323,937 tonnes The figures were released by National Bureau of Statistics of China. (NBS)
Herbicide is still the largest category of production. Volumes rose by 10.6% to 169.804 tonnes, accounting for 56.6% of the total agrochemical production. Volumes of fungicide rose by 3.3% to 14,979 tonnes, accounting for 5%, and insecticide flat to 65,507 tonnes, accounting for 21.9% of total production.

Shandong,Jiangsu, Zhejiang still rank Top 3 province in production term. Volumes of Shandong in May is 90,935 tonnes, followed by Jiangsu with 71,311 tonnes and Zhejiang with 28,872 tonnes.
