According to the Report “
Agrochemicals in Ukraine – 2012”, market value of plant protection in Ukraine reaches in approximately to 300 millions US dollars annually. In what follows the year-on-year growth of supplying volume the plant protection means are expected on 10-15% at the average.
Lack of pesticides, especially herbicides and fungicides, leads to annual losses: by estimations of experts – up to third of crops. On this occasion the growing demand for agrochemicals is traced year by year. Nevertheless own manufacture in Ukraine doesn’t develop and decreases within last years. For example manufacturer of herbicides has fallen out approximately in four times recently.
Requirement approximately in 10 types of fungicides, 20 types of insecticides, 25 types of herbicides couldn’t be covered by domestic production. Therefore Minprompolitic has given over a thousand licenses for the right of distribution the agrochemical products. It has been registered more than a half of thousand types of preparations (about 20 of them are domestic).
As market participants approve, hundreds original means of plant protection and generics are registered and applied for today in Ukraine and every year its consumption increases. It is promoted by tendency in agriculture: to buy seeds of high-quality hybrids together with pesticides, specially created for its processing.
Plants protection, being as though the final link the technology of cultivation the crops, essentially determines the efficiency of other power investments, including the most capacious.
