The US EPA has issued a new rule raising the allowed residue levels of Monsanto’s herbicide glyphosate (Roundup) on food.
According to a demand from Monsanto, the US EPA is proposing to hike the allowed residue limits -- yet again -- of the herbicide glyphosate in various food and feed crops. The allowed level in or on the raw agricultural commodity teff, forage and teff, hay at 100 parts per million (ppm) and oilseed crops, at 40 ppm.. Allowed levels in some fruits and vegetables eaten by humans will also rise.
