The Chinese Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) has recently approved the registration of a new diamide insecticides SYP9080, which has been invented and developed by Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (SYRICI) and
Sinochem Agro. This is a milestone for Sinochem Agro in strengthening its insecticide product line for the Chinese market.
“The determination of Sinochem Group to develop pesticides with our own intellectual property rights will never change,” said Dr. Zhaoqiang Li, marketing director of Sinochem Agro. According to Dr. Li, the efforts from two R&D institutions of Sinochem Group, Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (SYRICI) and Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (ZCIRI), to develop new insecticides and acaricides are in line with Sinochem Agro’s portfolio development strategy. In order to provide Chinese famers with different and better solutions to prevent and control pests, Sinochem Agro must supply the gap with its insecticide product line, Dr Li added.
