Arysta LifeScience North America & Isagro USA, Inc.,recently partnered to launch METTLE™ 125 ME (Tetraconazole) Fungicide in Canada. Specifically, METTLE helps control powdery mildew and black rot in grapes, and powdery mildew in strawberries.
Arysta LifeScience & Isagro USA bring METTLE to the Canadian market to give fruit growers an effective new fungicide. The product recently received registration in Canada and is classified for use in the province of Ontario. METTLE also is registered for use in gooseberries and sugar beets.
Tetraconazole, the active ingredient in METTLE, provides grape and strawberry growers with effective, long-lasting control of powdery mildew. METTLE moves rapidly within the plant systemically; it is used primarily as a protectant but also provides disease control when applied post infection early in the disease life cycle. METTLE is formulated as a micro emulsion which helps provide thorough coverage of treated plant tissue.
“METTLE is a natural fit into the Canadian horticulture market for Arysta LifeScience,” said Mark McLear, Arysta LifeScience Marketing and Key Accounts Manager. “It is a great complement to ELEVATE® and MAESTRO® Fungicides, providing grape and strawberry growers a new option to their overall disease management programs.”
“METTLE provides residual protection of new plant tissues that emerge after application for long-lasting control,” added Chris Leon, Ph.D., Technical Manager, Americas, Isagro USA. “We are excited to offer Canadian fruit growers this new tool for protecting their crops against diseases while maximizing yield and quality.”
