The US EPA has proposed to approve Becker Underwood’s biofungicide, Integral F-33 (
Bacillus pumilus strain BU F-33), for use as an indoor commercial seed treatment to elicit induced systemic resistance in several plants(e.g.,carrot and tomato). The company applied for a tolerance exemption for all food commodities. The public comments will be closed on May 28, 2013.
The US EPA has approved Summit Chemical’s bioinsecticide, Summit Bti MP (
Bacillus thuringiensis subsp.israelensis strain SUM-6218), for manufacturing use. the new active ingredient is substantially similar to previously registered Bacillus thuringiensis subsp.israelensis strains. The public comments will be ended until May 28, 2013.
