Arysta LifeScience has made geographic adjustments in the alignment of two of its business units in order to maximize market presence, competitiveness, and growth potential.
First, the former Africa Middle East (AME) business unit has been expanded to include Western and Southern Europe. The new business unit, called Africa Western Europe (AWE), will be led by John Barnes, who had been the business unit head of AME.
Secondly, the former Japan & North Asia Business Unit has been expanded to include Central & Eastern Europe. The new business unit, called Japan & Central/Eastern Europe (JCEE), will be led by Hisaya Kobayashi, who had been serving as the head of Japan & North Asia.
“These changes are aligning us more closely with growing markets and customers,” said Wayne Hewett, President and CEO of Arysta LifeScience. “The new Africa Western Europe business unit allows us to share best practices and work collectively to anticipate and respond to industry and customer needs. This will be particularly advantageous in the Southern Europe and Northern Africa geographies. The new Japan & Central/Eastern Europe business unit leverages the prior experience that Hisaya Kobayashi has as the former regional manager for these geographies and opens up the opportunity for even more partnerships in the region with Japanese manufacturers.”
As part of this realignment, Kevin Smith, former head of the company’s European business unit, has been appointed Head of Global Business Initiatives at Arysta LifeScience. In his new role, Smith will be responsible for business initiatives that support the company’s strategic focus on enhanced customer value, maximized presence and sustained profit growth in our chosen markets.
