Mott MacDonald is to provide multi-disciplinary engineering services for the INR400m ($7.3m) expansion of a pesticides and herbicides formulation plant in Keshwana, near Kotputli, India.
The project will help meet the growing global demand for formulated pesticide products which are important for the sustainable development of agriculture.
Phase I of the project will see the setting up of herbicides, fungicides and insecticides liquid plants and a powder formulation and packaging facility. A warehouse, utility block and other associated plant infrastructure will also be developed on site. Phase II will seek to expand the production capacity of the plant.
Working on behalf of Dhanuka Agritech, Mott MacDonald will provide architecture, civil and structural, process and building engineering services. The consultancy will also support procurement assistance, inspection and facilitating as well as provide supervision services during the project’s construction.
