Chinese government is continuing its effort to fight against counterfeit pesticides from infringers who have imitated the spirodiclofen of Bayer, the chlorantraniliprole of DuPont and the haloxyfop-P-methyl of Dow AgroSciences.
According to clues from Bayer CropScience China Co., Ltd in April, Guangdong agriculture administrations investigated some agricultural material stores and closed down the 3 kinds of pesticides added with Bayer’s spirodiclofen. Following to testing, the law enforcement authority will file up the case according to the Pesticide Administration Act against the infringers from whose products illegally added pesticide ingredients are detected.
Also in Hunan Province, agriculture administrations found out in a pesticide distribution location large amount of “Not for Sale” giveaways containing a pesticide ingredient, which is DuPont’s patented chlorantraniliprole. This is a case of illegal addition of hidden ingredients, as well as an infringement upon DuPont’s intellectual property rights. The involved producer and distributor have been penalized.
In Guizhou Province, the industry & commerce administration has detained a number of pesticides which are suspected to have infringed upon the trademarks of Dow AgroSciences including the DITHANE (mancozeb), LORSBA (chlorpyrifos) and GALLANT.
