China updated 2013 new pesticide management list of import and export

The Ministry of Agriculture of China and The General Administration of Customs jointly released new pesticide management list of 2013, which have come into force from Jan 1st, 2013. The new list includes 1158 activie ingredients of pesticides and 16 formulations.
The harmozined commodity tariff codes (HS code) of the pesticides have also been amended accordingly. Any pesticides need be declared under the new tariff code for importing and exporting from 2013.
The changes of the HS code include:
- A category of Biotic insecticide was added to the List with HS Code: 38089112
- The HS code for paraquat tech grade was changed from 29333990 to 38089319
- 5 pesticides were added to the list, including SYP-7017, Cyflumetofen, Ametoctradin, Aminopyralid, Pentoxazone, HS code under chapter 29.
- HS codes for 27 pesticides were adjusted.
