Arysta LifeScience Launches CENTURION® for Sugarcane in Brazil

Arysta LifeScience Corporation has expanded its portfolio of crop protection products for sugarcane with the launch of CENTURION® in Brazil. CENTURION is a ripener that enhances ATR (sucrose) levels in the sugarcane plant, thereby optimizing profitability in the reedbed. CENTURION works in anticipation of the maturation process of the cane at the beginning of the season or as maintainer at the end of the season.

“This launch further strengthens our growing portfolio of products to meet the needs of sugarcane growers,” said Antonio Carlos Costa, director of marketing, Arysta LifeScience Latin America. “We have had great success in this market with our BIOZYME® biostimulant and DINAMIC® herbicide; our sales in the sugarcane market now represent 25 percent of our total revenue in Brazil, and the sector is still growing.”

The market for agrochemicals in sugarcane, valued at about US$1 billion per year, is expected to grow between 12 percent and 15 percent in 2013. Arysta LifeScience currently has 4 percent of the total agrochemicals market in Brazil.
